With Front Rush, you can add multiple emails to a profile, however only ONE of those emails will function with the email button (the one that is in the "Email Address" field). The same goes for Cell Phone and Contact Number. You can only send SMS to the number in the "Cell Phone Number" field.
When adding parent details, you have a couple of options.
1. You can add the parent details to the recruit / roster Background section. This will be a place to store the information, just remember that you will not have the option to email through Front Rush using this option.
Tip: When using this option and emailing, you can click "add recipient not in database" on the Messages tab to include the parents on the emails.
2. You can add the parent details to the Contacts section of Front Rush. This will allow you to communicate and make notes within a personal profile for the parents.
Tip: You can create an option in "Contact Type" for Recruit Parent and Roster Parent to make it easier to distinguish your different contacts. It may also be helpful, since the contact profile is not linked to the recruit, to add a field, "Recruit Name" or "Roster Member Name" to know who's parents the contacts are. Please see the articles on Customize Fields for instructions.
If you are using option 1 and currently have parents in the Recruit / Roster background sections and would like to use option 2, follow these steps:
A. Click the Export tab
B. Click New Export, select Recruit or Roster
C. Select fields: First Name, Last Name, Parent Guardian 1 Name, Email, Phone, etc.
D. Search to narrow down the export if necessary
E. Export and download the Excel file
F. Open the file and rename First Name, Last Name to read Recruit First Name, Recruit Last Name or Roster First Name, Roster Last Name
G. Submit the file to our data team by clicking the menu in the top right, then clicking "Data Upload". For the "Category*" drop down, please select "Contacts". Our data team will then work on uploading the sheet into your Front Rush Account and will email you when this is completed. Please wait until the entry shows up at the bottom of the screen before navigating away from the page.
