Why did my email bounce?
An email 'bounce' is another word to say that an email could not be delivered to the email address.
Bounce Reasons
- The email address does not exist
- The recipient could have:
- Used a fake email adress,
- Misspelled their email address,
- The domain (@website.com) does not exist anymore
- The recipient could have:
- The recipient's inbox is full
- Often happens when the recipient uses a 'throw-away' email they don't check
- The recipient deactivated their email address
- Many recipients use their Internet Service Provider emails (i.e. @att.net) and are not longer with that company,
- The recipient closed their account
How to Remove Players from the Bounce List?
New this year, you can instantly clear a recruit who has a bounce or unsubscribed status!
Automatically Remove a Recruit from the Bounce List!
1. Locate the recruit in your recruit list
2. Click the recruit's email address to edit it, and change it to a new email address.
- The new email address cannot be one that has bounced before!
3. If the new email is valid, we will let you know that they have
Note: If you try to update the email with an email that is already bounced, we will let you know! The recruit will not be removed from the bounce list.
Is It Bad to Send to Bounced Email Address?
IT IS VERY bad to send emails to a bounced email address, once you know it has bounced. Email service providers keep track of how many bounces are sent, and they will degrade your sender reputation if you often send to bounced addresses.
Not to worry, once we find out an email is bounced, we work with our email vendor to automatically ensure bounced emails are not being emailed, once we identify an address as bounced.
How to Remove Bounce Emails That are Valid Email Address?
At this time, the best thing to do is to get a new email address for the recruit, as a bounced email address cannot be delivered too.
If you think an email is valid and should not have bounced, please email support. Email bounces are not in Front Rushes control as the list is maintained by our email service provider, but we can request them to remove valid emails from the bounce list if they are in fact valid. If you request an invalid email address to be removed from the bounce list, then the email will continue to bounce,
